• 2013 Pan American Champion in the middleweight division.

• Awarded the Submission of the year award from the World Jiu-Jitsu Expo for his Pan Am 2013 final match for his Omoplata finish.

• Grandson of Carlos Gracie Sr., the original founder of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. His father Carley Gracie was one of the first to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the US and is one of the very few 9th degree red belts in the world.

• Began training Jiu-Jitsu at the age of ten at his father's academy in San Francisco, California where he grew up. At the age of 15 he accompanied his father to Rio de Janerio, Brazil, where he remained for the next few years, training and living the art.

• Receiving his black belt in 2010 from his father (red-belt Grand Master Carley Gracie) at Rodrigo Medeiro's Academy in Pacific Beath, San Diego.

• Won countless competitions and continues to be an active and progressive part of the Gracie and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu art in both sport Jiu-Jitsu and the traditional components of the art. He is a top ranking Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and a highly sought after and knowledgeable instructor.
